Lara Crow (she/her)
Board Member
Lara Crow is an intersex woman, wife, mom, and business owner. She holds degrees in history and English with a doctorate in law and business transactions. After visiting her Minnesota in-laws for over 15 years, she was finally able to move to Duluth in 2024 and bring her wife back home to Minnesota.
As a licensed attorney in Kansas, she spent 15+ years establishing businesses and non-profits and advising on operations, governance, ethics, and other matters, including serving on several Boards. Her Board work is primarily focused on LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and domestic violence victims’ rights and advocacy.
Through her work, she has helped establish, maintain, and grow state-wide and national coalitions designed to promote intersectional justice, create resources or fill in gaps in resources for marginalized communities, connect people to resources they may not have known exist, and provide a bridge for holistic collaboration and communication between such organizations and resources.
As an extension of that work, her and her wife co-founded Crow & Co. Books, a small independent bookstore, in Kansas to provide a welcoming, friendly place for all to come together and share ideas and perspectives. She’s excited to expand that work by opening a pop-up shop in Minnesota, Crow & Co to Go, specialized in the Queer, the Weird, and the Wonderful.
